Flick: What to Watch Next is a movie and TV discovery app for iPhone, made by one person. This policy is short because the honest answer is short: Flick: What to Watch Next does not collect your data.

What stays on your device

Everything about you: your onboarding answers (including the age confirmation), chosen streaming services, genre preferences, mood settings, hard limits, swipe history, saved titles, the Tonight queue, and recent searches. All of it lives in the app's private local database on your iPhone. There is no account, no cloud sync, and no Flick: What to Watch Next server — the app has no backend at all.

What leaves your device

—TMDB requests. Flick: What to Watch Next fetches titles, posters, and streaming availability from The Movie Database (TMDB) API. Requests include your search text, your filter settings, and your device's region (so availability matches where you are). They are not tied to any account or advertising identifier — Flick: What to Watch Next has neither. TMDB's own policy: themoviedb.org/privacy-policy

—Images. Posters, backdrops, and cast photos load from TMDB's image servers.

—Links you tap. Streaming handoffs open the service's website in your browser. Atelier product links open Amazon and include our Amazon Associates tag, so a qualifying purchase may earn Flick: What to Watch Next a small commission — the Atelier shelf opens with an affiliate disclosure, and every entry point to it in the app is marked "Affiliate."

—Tips. Optional one-time tips are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details, and tips unlock nothing.

What we don't do

No analytics, no crash reporting, no ads, no tracking, no third-party SDKs, no fingerprinting, and nothing is ever sold to anyone. The app's privacy manifest declares that no data is collected, and its App Store privacy label says the same.

Deleting your data

Delete the app. That is genuinely all of it.

Children

Flick: What to Watch Next is not directed at children. First run asks you to confirm you are 17 or older, because movie and TV descriptions can reference violence, sex, and strong language. An optional rating ceiling (PG-13/TV-14 or PG/TV-PG) is available in the app's settings.
