I’m Tehmina Tajik, an independent iOS developer and a parent. I design and build the apps on this site myself, from the first idea and interface to the code, support pages, and App Store release.
My projects start with everyday questions: how can I prepare my family for an emergency, choose something to watch before the evening disappears, or find a road that makes the drive worth taking? SafePathApp, Flick: What to Watch Next, and ScenicShift grew out of those experiences.
I write the guides on this site to explore the same questions in more detail. My perspective is that of an app developer and a parent. For safety information, I turn to public agencies and specialist sources, link to their guidance, and distinguish practical experience from official advice.
SafePathApp began with preparing my own family: supplies, emergency contacts, air quality, and knowing what was happening nearby. I wanted the plans, checklists, maps, and alerts I would look for in an emergency to be easier to find before one happened.
Flick: What to Watch Next began with the small window of free time after the kids were asleep. We kept spending that time browsing streaming menus. Swiping through movie and TV picks and saving a watchlist grew from wanting to spend more of the evening watching something.
ScenicShift began after my husband bought a sports car and we found ourselves driving it mostly on interstates. We wanted winding roads, scenery, and drives where the journey mattered. The app is in development for people who enjoy the drive, whatever car they own.
